I'm just finally getting to his birth story...it's been two weeks!!!

On Tuesday morning (Aug. 24th) I went for my regular weekly check-up. I was 2 days over due. My cervix had not changed (still 1 cm) and was thick. Doc said my cervix was unfavourable. So while checking me, he stripped my membranes. He also did an NST and that came back fine. He pretty much put the ball in my court and said he could send me that day to get induced or I could wait it out. DH and I chose to wait it out. After I got home and went through everything in my head: swelling had gotten worse in the last week, blood pressure had gone up in the last week. These are just things I had noticed about myself in the last week and thought let's just do it. So I called Doc back and said I wanted to be induced the next day. They had me come back in at 3:30 to put a Foley Catheter in. As the midwife was putting it in,...

Thought I would post a little bit about what happened yesterday while I
have a quiet moment here in the hospital. As I posted earlier, I went
in on Sunday night thinking my water broke. Although the test for
amniotic fluid came up negative, they now think my water had actually
broken at that time because there wasn't much fluid around the baby
when he was born. They sent me home Sunday night and I slept a little
before waking up and getting my oldest off to his first day of
Kindergarten. Then I had an appointment with my OB and an ultrasound
which showed the baby measuring a lot smaller than he should have, so
my OB told me to go to the hospital yesterday afternoon and get
induced. We got here around 1:30pm and they hooked me up to the fetal
monitor and the contraction monitor to get started. It didn't take
long to realize that everytime I had a contraction (and I have been
having mild contractions like this for two weeks) the baby's...

First off let me just say, I cannot believe I am posting a Birth Story - Thanks again to God for this great gift that He has given me and my family.

Okay, down to business.

I was a scheduled c-section for the 15th at 1:00 pm. We were told to get there 2 hours early. We got there at 11:07 am right before another mommy-to-be was being brought into L&D on a stretcher and it was obvious that she was not "due" yet. This of course reminded me of my last trip to L&D but there was just too much excitement for me to really dwell and get sad and think about my angels that went back to be with God. What I thought was, today I will meet my first earthly angel.

So I pre-registered and paid my monies in June so that if/when I need to go in to L&D I would not need to worry about all of that. Check-in was quick and painless. We were told to sit and our nurse would come get us. About 5 minutes later the nurse walked us back to the Recovery Area which is where they...

He is named after my Dad... His name is Daniel Aaron, and we call him Danny. He was 7 pounds, 9 ozs, 20 inches. He's perfect and precious in every way. He
looks a LOT like Jackson did at birth, couple differences in features, but I think they will really look alike.

I was scheduled to be induced on Thursday July 2nd, but my little man decided he was going to come out without medical intervention. I began having some
cramping during the night of June 30th and woke up the next day with period like cramping. The pains weren't too bad so I didn't think much of them
until they started getting closer together throughout the day. I decided to go to the hospital just to be safe and was dilated 3 to 4 cm, so they kept me in
the hospital. I managed to make it to 9 cm dilation before I "begged" for an epidural. I was hoping that the baby would arrive on July 1st for
Canada Day, but he decided to hang around until 02:00 am on July 2nd. After 15 minutes of pushing, I got to meet my little miracle. He weighed 9 lb 1 oz and
measured 20 3/4 ''. I am so in love with him already! Good luck to all of you who will be delivering soon.

On Saturday 5/16 I woke up not feeling great but we had decided to hit some garage sales, so off we went well my back was really hurting and I was having some
leaking down south it was clear so I thought maybe it was just pregnancy discharge or from the sex I had to try to get things going! so I kept about my day I

I was scheduled for an induction on Friday May 1. We got to the hospital a little before 7am and got registered. My nurse was wonderful. She got me on the
monitor and got my IV started and my antibiotic started. She checked me and I was still 3 cm and about 60 percent effaced. She got the pitocin started and I
started having regular contractions . (I was having some contractions on my own but not strong at all). At 11:30, my doc came in and broke my water and then
the contractions got real! I was still only 3 cm and very dissappointed with that. I was hoping for a tiny bit of progress. About 12:30, I decided that an
epidural sounded good. I was tolerating the contractions but I knew I could not hold out for a few more hours. A little while later, my wonderful

anesthesiologist came in and I got a wonderful epidural (my Epi with Megan never worked). About 2:30, my nurse came in to tell me they were sending her home

Finally getting around to posting our story!

My due date was May 4th, but I was scheduled for a c-section on Monday Apr. 27th due to him still being breech. So on Wednesday afternoon (Apr. 22) I
noticed a lot less movement than usual. By that evening, I started having what seemed like timeable contractions. They weren't terribly painful, but were
coming approx every 10 mins. I timed them throughout the night and they stayed basically the same. By morning they were getting a little closer - about every
6-8 mins apart, but still not very painful. I called my dr and they told me to come in to be checked - since baby was still breech. My dr checked me and I was
only 1 cm or so. He said that I could go home and wait for things to progress a bit, or, since I had the c-section scheduled for Monday anyway, and I was not
likely to make it til then, they could just do the c-section today if we wanted. We decided that is what we would do, so he told us to head over to...

Ok, so I should have done this a while ago, but here it is:

Early morning hours on Tuesday, March 24th, I started having contractions again around 3 a.m. I could not sleep, and I could definitely feel them wrapping
into my back. When my husband woke up for work a little after 6 a.m., I said I think we need to go to the hospital. My contractions were still not regular,
but were getting stronger. Since I was 3 cm the Thursday before, I didn't want to wait too long. So, we went on to the hospital. They hooked me up to
monitor me and checked me and I was 3.5 cm. They said to walk the halls for an hour to see if that would speed up the contractions and help me to dilate. I
walked for an hour and I felt like the contractions were coming closer together, but when I stopped walking they seemed to slow down again, and I was still 3.5
cm, so they ended up sending me home . . . again!

I went home and contractions continued at irregular intervals throughout the...

admitted quickly. I was sent up to Labor and Delivery where I was checked again and was still 1.5 cm dilated. The doctor explained to us that it would be a

So, we had the scheduled c-section on March 12th.

We arrived at the hospital at 5:30 am, as planned. They took me straight back and started the "prep" work (blood draw, IV, etc.).
