What am I suppose to do?

Why? I repeat WHY are teenagers so difficult? Also, when does behavior go from "oh they're a teenager" to "they need help"?

Taylor is seriously testing my patience. Since she started high school, she seems to be doing everything but actually working on her education. She's consumed with boys, won't do her homework and now after 3 truancy letters and DH and I having to go to a truancy conference, Taylor confesses that she's been ditching! I don't know what her problem is. Upon asking for details about the school skipping, she told us that her "friend" Jasmin called her 19 year old girlfriend (who is a total stranger to Taylor) and got in her car and went to someone's house. WTF!!??!?!?

I am getting to the point that I seriously want to cut ties and leave until she's on her own. I...

I need to vent..

Someone is testing my patience.
..
DH dad is always feeding my dd's off his plate..
The little one sees someone eating and she wants to eat..
I don't want to let her do that because I want her to be on a schedule.. you know.. sit with us and eat.. and she DOES..
and I let her have a snack or two here and there.. but I totally dislike that he is always not only offering but giving hr food from his plate.. etc..
..
and today he was really testing my patience..
..
I sat her down.. and was feeding her some beef stew.. (home made) with a piece of potatoe, zucchini, carrot, beef and rice..
WELL I was having a hard time, and he comes in the kitchen grabs a banana.. and she .. as usual.. reaches out.. he was near the sink..
and walks over.. while I am holding a spoon to her mouth and gives her a piece of banana.. of course after that she was totally
NOT interested in her stew anymore.. GRANTED it was a banana.. and not...

I put my foot down!!

Eric throws his clothes in the middle of the floor.. all the time... I ask him to get them.. he will say, o.k I will.. They sit there.. I get pissed and then he'll get them... So he did the same thing, this week and I asked him again and again, he doesnt do it. I dont know whats clean or dirty..So I end up re-washing clothes... So i told him Im not washing his clothes anymore until he can keep them seperated and out of the floor. AUGH!!

I dont mind cleaning but im not a freaking maid. I am not going to pick up after a grown man.... Screw that!

are you getting your daughter the HPV vaccine? I think we have decided to do it next year when dd is in high school. Not that I think she will be sexually active, lord knows I hope not but I just think its the best decision for us...

The last year in a half my daughter will slack with her grades and then pull them up and still make the honor roll. It pisses me off to no end. She did the same thing last quarter and ended up on the A & B honor but my thing is why arent you giving it 100%.. why slack? So today I was reviewing her grades online and shes starting up again.. So I took her phone/radio for a week. I told her that she's supposed to give 100% in what she does and not get a bad grade because she feels that she can make it up later on...

A friend of mine and her husband have had a pretty crappy marriage for YEARS... basically they have a partnership...he works and she does everything else. He doesn't help with their 2 kids (EVER) and even got upset when she asked him to go to the kids' school confrences a few weeks ago.

Well last night she and I were talking and from what I got from her is that she doesn't want to ask him to leave because "he has no place to go"... he is actaully from Canada, and she is basically afraid that because their children have dual status (as does he) if she asks him to leave he will take the kids and just disappear, and he has even threatend this when the discussion came up before re:their marriage.

Well how much should this poor girl take... I mean seriously... she was saying that she gets no money for herself, she has to show him reciepts when she does shop for herself etc... it is just sick!! isn't this some kind of 'abuse' with his...

curfews, bedtime, how much time on computer/phone per day

how long are punishments? what kind of punishments?

share your household rules...

Im new to being a teen parent and i like to hear others rules... sorry to seem so nosey... i think im strict and i dont want to be too too strict...

Our rules are... School days NO phone, computer, company after 830.. computer 1 - 1 1/2 hour limit per day ...

Bedtime is 9ish

Punishments first time offense we talk to her.. explain why then.. we take things away or she does chore or write essays... Taking her phone away is the most effective. I had to take it away for about 3 months before... She's been an angel since then. I mean here and there she will do something but not the mouthy stuff since she was without her phone for so long....

My husband is a great dad, he doesn't have many friends because most of his co-workers are old and he doesn't play hockey in our small town so he doesn't know a lot of people here, and he has no dangerous habits. All around, he is great and the only thing I get really upset about is the amount of time he spends on the computer. It's not like he's looking at porn, he's into poker (not for money) and sci-fi games. It's a pretty harmless habit but some days he's on there for hours and doesn't even seem to notice us. I'm always nagging him to leavit it alone and it drives him nuts. Should I just accept that this is one of his only forms of entertainment and leave him alone, even if it's for hours at a time, or am I o.k. to keep being a nag. lol

I dont think its a big deal since its still on her ear but her dad is tripping.. He said she's too young..

UPDATE: her dad said no.. so the final answer was no. I was undecided about it so we will wait. I honestly dont think its a big deal, I just want to make sure im not opening up a can of worms.. first ears then, this that and the other...

Im going with 15 closer to 16 depending on the maturity level of my girls and how they're doing in school.. It will start as group things.. though.. No one on one stuff.. I just would want her to take her time.

.dd#1 is 13 and i know my time is coming. I know she's done it before without me know and she told me about it.. I want to allow her to do things with the opposite sex so she doesnt feel like I think boys are aliens.. I let her go to football games and the other day she went to the boys basketball game at her school...

Ok...we are planning on leaving town tomorrow am with Chad's payday being on Friday. We have a bill that is due NEXT WEDNESDAY, but Dh wants me to pay it before we leave (we will be back on Monday)... it will compeletely clear out our checking account... and honestly if we weren't going anywhere I wouldn't have a problem... BUT we only have $50 cash and Dh seems to think that will be enough to get us to the Twin Cities (400+ miles away) with our van already being on 1/2 a tank a gas.

Am I 'wrong' in that I am refusing to pay the bill until pay day.... and now Chad is telling me that I am just being a contol freak... I responded with "You are being silly...."

Am I really being a control freak?!?!?

Weekends are fun around here.... Kylie is always up to something. She was going to Chicago this weekend with her friend to see her friend's dad. I have let Kylie go one other time. Her dad and i talked and decided we would let her do it. Well she was going again, and then I found out the mom was not taking them this time. Her sister was driving and she is only 17 NO WAY am i letting my daughter drive that far with two other teenagers and no adults! So Kylie is furious with me.... but what's new She thinks I treat her like she is 2....

My oldest eats like a horse.........I mean seriously she eats 3 times more than I do.........she eats as much as a man! If I dont watch her closely she will eat all day long! She isnt fat but she has put on 15-20 pounds in the last year or so and I dont want her to get overweight because it isnt healthy and I dont want kids to make fun of her..............

what are your kids habits????
