It's very quiet around here!

I'm on CD14 of a 100mg dosed cycle of Clomid to see how that goes since 50mg wasn't giving me brilliant cycles all of the time.
So we're just hoping, crossing fingers, and doing other stuff (of course!) ha ha.

How is everyone else? I hope we can see some BFP's soon!!

I was convinced I was getting AF this weekend, because I thought I had ovulated 2 weeks ago and did a HPT on Friday and got BFN.
I called the hospital for my urine sample results, and they said I didn't have a 'surge' so it meant I hadn't ovulated and it will be unlikely that I will get AF soon.
So, what the heck made me think I ovulated 2 weeks ago? And what the heck is going on with my crampy AF type tummy just now?!
ha ha. I'm very confused.

AF showed today, so... whatever. I knew this wasn't my month, but I still kind of hoped. Two nights ago I was going to bed and my two year old was laying down with me. Out of nowhere she says, "Mommy, baby brother is coming soon. He's at the church with Jesus." I was like "WHAT?" I tried to ask her a few more questions. She tried to describe where they were, but she didn't have the words. She said they were standing on something. And then I asked her what they were doing and she said, "They're sitting, listening to Jesus talk." So... thought that was interesting. Don't know if it was just her imagination or one of "those things". I guess we will see. Maybe I'll get pg soon?

I know these boards have been kinda slow but I wanted to share where we are with our ttc. Last April while on Clomid, we found 4 cysts on my ovaries. We sat out a cycle and they didn't get better, in fact they grew, so we went on birth control. All but one cyst cleared up and strangely a new one formed. So we decided to do surgery to remove the 2 cysts. PCOS was being discussed.

Two weeks ago, I had surgery. We found that one of the cysts was a typical ovulation cyst that just hadn't cleared and the other cyst was actually a pocket of fluid that had developed. The fluid was collecting because my right ovary was stuck to my uterus. We also found endometriosis around and that was what caused the ovary to be stuck to the uterus. My doc fixed the ovary and removed the cysts and the endo.

Yesterday I had my follow-up appointment. Doc explained everything she saw and did. She recommended staying on...

I went for my first ultrasound yesterday & there was only an empty gestational sac which measured 5 weeks 6 days. I should have been 7 weeks 2 days. My RE drew blood work to check my levels, but it doesn't look good. She wants me to MC on my own without a DNC. I go back to see her in 3 weeks to recheck my levels & do another ultrasound. If I haven't MC on my own by then she will give me something to induce a MC. We are very confused & upset. This is our third unexplained MC in less than 3 years. I'm praying that we will be able to TTC again soon.

It has been awhile but I thought I would come by to say hello to those that remember me and those that I have yet to meet A quick update on me: my son Jacob is now 17 months and doing well! He is growing so fast that it seems like yesterday I had just given birth to him. It took 8 years to have him after countless medical interventions and miscarriages but he is here and I am loving every minute of being a mother. On the other hand, in an attempt to give him a sibling, I have suffered 2 losses recently. It never really gets easier and the loss is just as painful as the first.

Anyway, I am glad this board is still up and running as this was my solace for so many years. I am now actively TTC again as I do not know what the future holds. Good luck to those who are trying and I will try to follow up on everyone's progress as much as I can.

Blood work results from yesterday

I had my Hcg levels & progesterone levels tested again yesterday. The results were good. My Hcg is now 1500 & my progesterone is 23. My RE is trying to schedule me for a sonogram in the next 2 weeks. Keep the prayers coming.

and... she's not here yet. BUT that doesn't mean anything. With my luck she'll show at 11pm. I have not tested yet. I don't have one at home so I'd have to go buy one. I know the second I get one and use it, then AF will show up and it'll be like throwing $ down the toilet. I don't think I'm pregnant. In fact, I kind of have the vibe that I'm not. So, I wish AF would just show once and for all so I can move on instead of sitting here wondering if there is a slight chance I might be pregnant. AAAARRRGGG! I hate that I'm this crazy over it.

I can't believe my eyes, but it is a BFP!!!! I took a picture with my phone but I can't get it on here yet. I took a digital test so there is no mistake when is says PREGNANT. I called my RE & I am going to get the blood work done this morning to see what my numbers are. I can't believe I spent thousands of dollars at the RE only to be able to get pg on my own using over the counter herbal supplements!!

Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine
Alcohol and caffeine have been shown to have negative effects on fertility. Try to limit consumption. It is best to limit alcohol all together if trying to conceive.

Eat a Healthy Diet
Make sure to eat a healthy balanced diet full of nutrients. In a study from OBGYN News, researchers found that 79% of infertile couples had diets lower then average in fruits and veggies. Consume more protein from veggies instead of from animals and eat fiber. Both men and women should not eat too much seafood. In a few studies mercury has been shown to have a negative effect on fertility. Also avoid trans fat found in fried food and stick margarine. Consume one serving of full-fat dairy. A recent study showed that women who ate full fat dairy had increased fertility. Also make sure to drink water.

I had my Daughter Grace may 11 /2010 after ttc for 5 years and was on here all the time! Not sure about going for #4 ....today I took a test and thought it looked suspicious but put it down and forgot about it until now!!!totally pink...I know you are not supposed to look after the 10 min but wowo it is pink.....what do you think???

Does anyone have any experience with this? My doc is looking at this as a possibility for my infertility. After clomid, we found 4 cysts. Three cleared up when I went on birth control but one has not changed at all and another has formed. We are going to do surgery to remove them but she thinks PCOS may be a strong possibility and could be the cause of why we are having problems conceiving.

I am nervous about the surgery and really don't have any idea what PCOS means for me. Anyone have thoughts or advice?

How is everyone? Any good news to report?

I've been seeing the fertility doctors this last week. Cycle 1 and 2 on clomid were great but cycle 3 was crazy! So we're on cycle 4 now, and I had ultrasounds and bloodwork done on Thursday (CD12) and again today (CD16). Both results were positive, I have a thick enough lining, and my follocile is 'big and juicy'! So the egg should be released any day now.
I've to go back on Monday for another u/s and b/w then I'll be waiting with my fingers crossed!!

Positive OPK on CD10???

Is it possible to ovulate this early in your cycle? I have never ovulated before CD18 before. I have been taking Vitex for 4 months now & I guess you can say it has absolutely regulated my cycle. I have gone from not having a cycle at all (120 days without AF) to having a 28-30 day cycle. I'm going to decrease my dosage & see what happens. I'm absolutely shocked right now.

Hi! I haven't been here in forever. I don't even know who all is around anymore! DH and I started TTC #3 last month so I thought I would come here and obsess. LOL I am in the 2WW and going crazy. This is our second cycle not preventing but, only our first officially trying. I am about 8 or 9DPO. Goin nuts!!

Pee on a stick! I took a test yesterday at 13dpo and lo and behold - AF showed up 3 hours later. I will not be testing any more until I am officially 1 day or more late.
On to the next round I guess! March baby anyone?

I'm feeling frustrated today. A feeling I've dealt with quite a lot in the 6 years i've been TTC (on and off) for.
Last year my friend told me she had a possible miscarriage. She and her partner weren't trying for a baby, and she never got confirmation that it was a miscarriage, but the doctros seemed to think so.
So, they got engaged a couple of months ago, and have set a date for the wedding. They are worrying about how to pay for it all etc. My friend said she wanted to wait until they had been married for a couple of years before trying for a baby.
She came over yesterday and told me that she had fainted last week, and the doctor wanted her to do a pregnancy test. She did a HPT and got 2 faint lines after 2 minutes. She's going to do another one tomorrow for confirmation, but I told her, a line is a line!!
So I'm frustrated that someone can have a pregnancy scare, and then not take precautions to prevent another scare when they have admitted that they are not...

We left it up to chance for the past 3 years (first year we really tried - went to RE, got overwhelmed with info, and decided to just leave it to chance). So, now we are heading back to an RE next Thursday and hoping to get tests knocked out quickly, we'll see what the plan is next week.

How is everyone doing? I've been on the board sporadically and I wondered where everyone is in their TTC journey.

Stacie - how is it going? Are you still taking the Vitex? What is the latest update?

We've been taking a break, but started again this month. I ovulate today (I think), so we'll see if I get any good news in two weeks.
