my sister has had two small babies they were classed as IUGR as they were under 2.5kg...so with this pregnancy she is 30weeks tomorrow...she is having extra U/S's to check on her little boys growth...now my question is is Fundal Height a good indication of growth?...she is measuring 2weeks behind at last measurement...so far his 2 growth scan at 20weeks and 27.2weeks he has been growing beautifully right in the middle of the percentiles on the chart...shes a little worried about her fundal height measurement because she was 1week behind at 22weeks measuring 21weeks and at 28weeks she was measuring 26weeks fundal height wise...at her last appointment she had the woman doctor from hell...she disagreed with everything we said ( her EDD in May 6th which is a thursday) she got out that pregnancy wheel and said her due date is a friday (erm no it isnt) based on her first scan that gave her the EDD of May 6th she was 7weeks 6days on a wednesday that would make her 8weeks on a thursday thus...

I went from a risk of 1:186 to a risk factor of 1:39... I know there is still a good chance of my pregnancy out come being good.. However I am so worried because my Blood Levels were so off...Does any one have any input on my levels..

My B-hCG Level was 1.485 MoM
And my PAPP-A Level was 0.199 MoM.... This is extremely Low.. ( from what I am reading it puts me at higher risk for miscarriage later in pg early birth and Placenta problems)

I am so upset.. I just wanted to have good news.. I should have never had this test done.. I never did with my other 2.... do you all think that I should just have an amnio done after my 18 week scan?? just so that I know.. and don't continue to worry, and if it comes back positive be able to prepare myself?

At my 20 week ultrasound they found that I have anterior placenta. Well, that explains why I can't feel him kicking as hard as my other pregnancies and we
couldn't hear the so early.

My questions are:

is it possible for the placenta to slip down into placenta previa from this position?
are there any additional risks during pregnancy or labor when the placenta is in the front?
can the placenta move to a posterior position now or is it gonna stay put?

I am just over 17 weeks with my third baby. I am already showing quite a bit. The problem I am having is keeping my pants up. I don't have much for
hips, so low riders don't work for me. I have two pair of the thinner band elastic maternity jean and two of the larger "panel" jeans. One of the
pairs of panel jeans stay somewhat up, but all of the rest are constantly falling down. I have to hike them up every other step. It is getting really annoying.
Has anyone tried one of those belly bands or something like that that would help with falling pants? Any ideas? TIA

At my 8 week appt we couldn't find the HB on the doppler (not uncommon). So I had an u/s to confirm everything was OK and confirm my EDD. Baby looked
perfect - right on target.

Yesterday I had an appointment at 13 weeks and we STILL couldn't find the HB on the doppler! We did another U/S and saw the baby and the HB was strong at
160bpm.

I'm not overweight, and according to the doc the baby was fine. So why can't we locate the HB on the doppler? Wouldn't have have mentioned if I had
a tilted uterus or anterior placenta during the ultrasounds? Could something be wrong - like the HB is so weak it's not picking up?

Huh? Why would she do that? I'm high risk (and was for my last pregnancy). Called my doctor on Friday and said I got a BFP (yay!! we've been trying
since last Spring) and the nurse said to come in Monday and they would run my numbers. Got there yesterday and turns out they are only running my
progesterone. Any idea why? I'll be talking to the nurse again this morning, but I'm just curious to see if anyone else would know why. I'm
having my first ultrasound on Thurs the 24th. For my last pregnancy, I was on Prometrium for low progesterone, so I know they need to check it, but why not
the HCG as well? The nurse who took my blood said she's never not run the HCG test in this case. Weird.

Anyone have this after a c-section? It is a pump that pumps a local anesthetic into the incision - I had it with ds. Dr. just gave it to me and insurance
covered it. I had a pretty good recovery - have no idea if it had anything to do with that. Well my dr. just gave me paperwork, and it is now not covered by
insurance and will cost $200 if I want it. I was doing some research and saw that there were some lawsuits going on with it, not when used for csections but
for shoulder injuries.
