Hello all! I am not very active on the boards now but do come once in a while to read great tips on nursing.
My daughter turned 1 on February 2 (so she is 13 months now). I had originally planned to wean her at 12 months. Throughout her first year I never offered her milk in a bottle or cup (maybe my mistake) but I was producing enough milk so didn't want to buy any formula and I was tired of pumping (my now 3-year-old never latched and pumped exclusively for him for 12 months so I was so done with pumping).

Now the trouble is I have been trying to introduce her to the cup for a month but with no progress at all. She drinks milk from it like she drinks water - a sip here a sip there but not any substantial amount. I have tried all kinds of cups, nothing is working. I know weaning doesn't happen overnight but zero progress is something I was not prepared for. People tell me to force her to sit and drink it but how can you force a 13-month-old to do something...

I'm attempting to try breastfeeding my 7 wk old daughter again after a 4 wk period of her being on formula due to reflux and other feeding issues we are still unsure of. She won't latch on but I try as often as I can only for about 5 min that she will tolerate it. I'm also trying to pump to get the supply back just in case and I figure at the very least I can pump and give her my milk even if she won't nurse. I dried up from pumping more than nursing with my son so I'm not sure how long my body will last. That's why I needed advice on anything we can do to help her re-learn to nurse. I'm using a nipple sheild and I read that it is supposed to help transition but its so different than bottles and pacifiers.

Hi Ladies.
Okay, here are my two questions... Gavin is 3 months old and exclusively breastfeeds (does not like the bottle)... I think that my supply has depleted since I
do not have a full feeling (for weeks now)... He has wet diapers, poops and is gaining weight... However, he appears to fuss a lot more during feedings
recently (he has reflux and is on meds to address this problem). I started pumping yesterday and barely produced 2ozs.... what does everyone think? PS....I
am drinking water, eating oatmeal, anything to help produce more milk... hmm Do you think it is a supply issue. So hard to judge since we can't see what
we have.

Second question, I have to go away for a night this Saturday, I will be away from the baby for almost 24 hours. Has anyone had their baby take formula round
the clock with no problems??? Thanks ladies!
Allison is still going strong at 8 months. She is so busy it is sometimes hard to get her to stop long enough to nurse. But, she would stay attatched to me all

So, Caleb is 7 months now, and since I never breastfed past 6 weeks with my other two, I'm not sure if this is normal, but at this point he is starting to
show a lack of interest in nursing?? He has always nursed on both sides, but lately, he will nurse on one side and if anything distracts him, he is done.
I'm having a hard time getting him to focus long enough to make it to the other side. And a few times he just didn't even want to nurse when it was a
time when he would normally nurse (like first thing in the morning). I know he is older now and crawling (well, he does the worm), and more aware of
everything that goes around him. It just seems like he is not so interested anymore and he would rather chew on the remote LOL. I just feed him until he
looses focus. Sometimes I pump out the other side and give it to him in his sippy cup when he has solids. I'm guessing this is normal??

Hi All!
I had my 3rd baby boy on 10/19/09. I am exclusively bfding at this point. I think my little guy has reflux because of the spitting up or maybe colic??? Hard
to determine... if anyone has had any experience with reflux or colic, please let me know the signs and any recommendations to help my little fuss pot. We
seem to have a never ending cycle of feeding, spitting up, feeding spitting up, no sleep etc..... Also, his poop is not the mustard seed yellow poop I
remember from my last baby (he is 9 days old). Thanks in advance for your responses!!!!

Okay, I'm really not ready to quit breastfeeding, but unless you ladies have some really good suggestions on how to get them to stop biting, I'm gonna
have to stop! Caleb got his two bottom teeth in a couple weeks ago. Yesterday he clamped down on me twice and I yelled "ouch!" and firmly said
"No, Sir, No Biting!" He just smiled and laughed. So, today, more of the same. I'm nervous to even try to feed him. He'll start nursing
and then all of a sudden clamp down. Not sure why he is doing this. Maybe he isn't really hungry. Maybe he wants to chew because his top teeth are
coming. I just don't know what the heck to do. I tried to feed him a little bit ago, but he kept biting me, so I stopped and pumped and fed him from the
bottle which he drank, but also stopped for the occasional chewing on the nipple. IDK ladies, what can I do. I kind of wanted to try to nurse him till closer
to a year. Anybody have any experience with biting...
