I know that Bbloves and DramaQueen both got preg. while taking Clomid. I know that Bbloves had been ttc for almost 2yrs. and was getting ready for IUI once AF showed her face and guess what....she never showed

Well, here's mine. I went off bcp at the end of '98 and got PG right away. We weren't "trying" yet because we thought you had to wait a bit after going off bcp. Had a very uneventful PG and a healthy baby in Oct 99.

In June 01 went off bcp again. Had longer cycles - about 35 days or so for several months. Early this year still no AF for 90 days!! (Saw the Doc prior to that, but they didn't want to do anything until 90 days) So, I was headed out on vacation later that week, so doc gave me BCP for 1 cycle to bring AF, but not while on vacation. (She said if I took progesterone that I could get AF anytime, and said if it were her she would do bcp because of traveling, so I agreed.)

Another long cycle, and still no AF. By this time I was due for annual anyway. She told me that sometimes if you just take prometrium (progesterone brand) for a few cycles, things get back on track on their own. About this time, I decided to get serious and got an OPK. Prety sure I didn't get a +OPK, but I found it hard to decipher the lines, so went to the CPFM instead. One cycle on that, and I definitely did not get a peak.

I asked my Doc what we would do if I wasn't PG that cycle. She's a PA, and told me that I'd have to see one of the OBGs to do anything else. Since I'm impatient, I immediately made an appointment and told the new Doc all this. He said that its not unusual to have a cycle or 2 without oing and ordered CD 3 bloodwork and a SA for DH. When both bloodwork and SA came back normal, he did a HSG to make sure nothing was blocked - but it had to be done on CD 9.
Of course, another whole cycle wasted, because I definitely wasn't oing and I was long past CD 9. HSG is normal, and I have to come back in 2 weeks to get Rx for Clomid. I had no idea why I had to wait, but it annoyed me.

But I was armed with several months worth of prometrium, so instead of waiting for another looong cycle when I knew I wasn't going to o, I started prometrium early so that I would be ending it right about the time I would get my Rx and be able to use it right away. (I know that was a little naughty, but they gave me the tools and I couldn't help myself.)

So I took 50 mg Clomid CD 5-9. Started prometrium after my last CPFM high for 10 days. (Didn't o) Doc wanted me to keep using prometrium because he suspected a 2nd phase defect. My original instructions were to take prometrium CD 15-25, but I was still high on CPFM, so I waited until after the last CPFM high (CD 25) to start it. (My first doc said I could take it later if I wanted to and it wasn't a big deal.)

On to my 2nd round. I asked to up the dose, but he wouldn't do it. Someone on the Boards said that it COULD make you o on the same dose, so I had a little hope, but not much. I started taking prometrium CD 16, even though I was still seeing highs. Saw my last high (no peak again) on CD 25 - and took my last prometrium the next day. It can take up to 14 days for AF to kick in, but it didn't usually take me more than 10. So, but 10 days-past-last-high (DPLH) I start getting antsy for AF. Still nothing. Af 14 DPLH, still nothing. Jade teases me to test. I did the next morning, so I could make an apointment to see what was going on. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw the faintest of a 2nd line.

I didn't trust it, and was concerned about low progesterone, so I called the clinic. The doc I had been seeing was out that day, but I was able to talk to another nurse, who scheduled me for the labwork. I tried to talk her into getting me a blood test ordered, but no such luck. I tried to not pee for 4 whole hours prior to my appt. Darn near wet my pants waiting so long, with a 3 year old jumping around besides. Finally get to do their test, and wouldn't you know it, + again! So I got my progesterone tested, and it was a little bit lower than they like to see. So I have prometrium until 10 weeks.

I have an ultrasound next Wed (before Thanksgiving) and I should get a better idea of due date then, but I'm guessing its about 7/23/03.

I'M PREGNANT . As many of you know I suffered a m/c Oct. 2001 and have been ttc #2 off and on for about 6 months. Well, I took my first round of 50mg. of Clomid this last cycle for more healthy eggs and BOOM we caught one or more of the eggs from my 4 mature follicles. I will go for an u/s in about 3wks. to make sure the baby implanted in the uterus as I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies years ago. Actually I ended up having to have that tube removed, 18yrs. ago, so I am confident that this is a sticky one I had a HSG back in August and there was no scarring in my remaining tube so I am sure that little one found its' way.

I tried for almost 2 years to get pg with my first husband. Finally, after 3 cycles of extreme midcycle pain and spotting my doc said that my body was trying to O but for some reason I was not releasing the egg..or if I was..we were missing it because I was in so much pain, no BD. Three trips to the E.R. in three cycles.

He put me on 50 mg clomid in late '94 I did 3 cycles of 50 mg. August, September,October. No success, BUT 2 cycles after the last clomid cycle, in January TADA! I know with all my heart that I owe my Daughter to clomid, even though she was not conceived ON the clomid cycles, they straightened out my cycles. Five months after she was born I got pregnant again, naturally.

I have been trying to conceive with my new husband for 34 months and charting for a little over a year. I was Diagnosed with PCOS in October and am currently taking 1500 mg metformin which has seemed to regulate my cycles much better. I was having 60 and even on 122 day cycles.
This cycle is a 200 mg clomid cycle and I am useing the Clearplan Fertility Monitor for the first time. Hopeing and praying that I can come back here with another success story in about a week..Time will tell.

Some of you know me from a couple months ago. I o'd CD8 for a long time which caused a few failed implantations and was put on Clomid. I took it 2 cycles at 100 mg but didn't like the side-effects so I stopped taking it but I continued to o' CD 17 each cycle afterwards. 2 cycles later I had a m/c and gave up. 2 more cycles later I'm here to tell you that I am 6 days past AFNW with NO AF and have had 5 +++ pg tests in the past 5 days! So even after discontinuing the Clomid, it still helped me to get pg!!! Lost of luck and babydust to you all!

Update: I am 12 weeks pg now and heard 2 heartbeats. Going for an u/s tomorrow to confirm.

Hi, I'm new to the board, and ttc #2.I conceive my dd on my first cycle of clomid 50mg, back in Sept/00. Since then we have been trying ttc #2 since March/02. i was on 3 cycles at 50mg's of clomid, and nothing. So my OBGYn put me on another 3mths at 100mg. Finally my last cycle of clomid was successful, but soon ended with a dnc, for it was a molar pregnancy. I had to wait 6 mths for an OK to start clomid again, so here I am on my second cycle of clomid at 50mg. Hopefully good luck will come to us all!!

I have a clomid baby! I took clomid for 3 cycles. The first cycle was 100mg, the 2nd was also 100mg. I Oed on cycle day 21 both times. The 3rd month, I took 200mg. It worked! I conceived my daughter, Abby on CD21.

Let me start by telling you all a little bit about my TTC history. I have been married almost 5 years. I have a miracle baby who is not really a baby anymore. He will be 3 yrs old in August. He was conceived after 18 months of trying, on the 4th month of clomid (200mg w/ hcg boost). I had one mc prior to that pg. We have been trying to get pg again since Aug of last year. Been doing clomid and what not but, my husband is Active Duty military so he has been gone more then home since then. So right now we sit at cd 2, I think... I started spotting yesterday and now nothing. We are on our 6th cycle of clomid...so far one ov on 200 mg. So we will try 200 again this cycle...i hope. I am scheduled for another HSG on the 29th of this month. DH also had some batter issues. So we took a break for about 8 weeks so that he could quit smoking, his counts tripled!!!!!!!!!!! I almost pee'd my pants I was soooo excited! I was diagnosed w/ pcos in December of last year. Before that my old ob/gyn said I had unexplained infertility.
So now I guess we just wait and see what happens w/ this strange possible period. I think I wil call the dr and see what they think.
I think this time around isn't as bad as the first one...I about lost my mind TTC my first one. I ate, slept, breathed everything there was about infertility. This time I am more relaxed although I am getting frustrated now cause I am going on almost a year.
Well..that is the long short of my situation. I hope at the very least I have given someone hope that it may happen for them. I know how desparately needed success stories are! Don't give up, the heartache will be so well worth it the first time you hear the heartbeat!

I just found out my first round of clomid worked! and now I'm 4 weeks pregnant. My husband and I been trying for almost a year and a half and nothing was happening. I finally checked into a fertility clinic(which took 6mo. to get in *navy base*) and the doc concluded that I had very irregular cycle and that I wasn't ovulating. So in May 1 03 She had me start the Provera to induce my period and on May 10 I got my period and on day 5-9 I was to start the Clomid. Since I didn't know exactly when I ovulated I caculated it on Baby Med(May 22-30) and to make sure we had a chance my baby and I did it for a week and a half everyday! well 4 days before I was suppose to get my period(June 10th) I took a PG test and it came out neg. I was so disappointed cause on some test you could test up to a week before. I called the Dr. and she said to wait to the 10th and come in for a pg test and if it was neg that we start all over again. Well on the 10th I went in and took the test and to my big big suprise we were pregnant!!!!! Who would have thought with one round of clomid our dreams would come true?
