Amazing - it seems like she has been here her whole life. At the same time, I can't believe it has already been two months since I was last in Guatemala. She is doing so well, I think. She is like a different baby from the one I visited all those times - after about a week, I discovered that she is a super-smiley, funny, and busy little girl! She was always so quiet on visit trips, but I guess she is used to me now because she never stops "talking"! What great joy she has brought to my life! A few recent pictures:

Remove this ad Polly, I think she is really comfortable and safe here now. At least I hope so. It was amazing to discover how smiley she is - I only saw her smile a handful of times during my three trips to visit her before pick-up!

Ari didn't smile once when we had him in Russia for 3 weeks. In fact I remember the first time I saw him smile, it was about a week after we got home. Now he doesn't stop!

It's none of my business, so don't answer it you don't want to , but I was curious whether you have done a lot of "attachment parenting" stuff with Ari since he came home? It sounds like he has a healthy attachment to you - just wondering if you did specific things to foster that. I have been trying to be pretty attachment-oriented in my parenting since Willow came home.
