Anyone have a really good recipe for Chicken Fried Steak that they have actually tried and LOVE??? TIA!!

I take round steak and tenderize it....this is a very important step....or you can get the already tenderized cube steak
I dip it in a milk and egg mixture (like 3 eggs and 2 cups milk) then in seasoned flour (garlic salt, salt, and pepper, with a shake or two of season-all), then in egg and milk mixture again. I fry in a lightly greased cast iron skillet.....after it's all done I make gravy out of the drippings and serve with mashed potatoes and green beans.....one of our family favorites!!

I have a similar recipe to that of Angie, but I dust the tenderized steaks in the flour, then milk/egg and then back into the flour... other than that our
recipe is pretty much the same

I use NESTLE CARNATION Evaporated Milk I have found it helps the batter (crust) to stay on better!
But I do it like the other ladies. |

I use tenderized milanesa because it tends to be cheaper. I also mix some crushed up crackers (saltines or ritz) and salt and pepper to my flour mixture. Other
than that, I do it the same way as the other ladies!

I use tenderized cube steak. I have a bowl of egg, a plate of flour with salt and pepper, and a plate of plain bread crumbs and crushed up saltine crackers.
I put it in the egg, the flour, then egg again and then the bread crumb/cracker mix. This is actually the way my dh does it. I have never tasted a better chicken fried steak!! |

OMG....this is my dh nemisis...he has been trying to make a good chicken fried steak for years.....we are eating healthy/changing our lifestyle and chicken
fried steak is not on the menu lately. I will have to cut and past these and sent to him so he has for future use.
