Oldtimer Posts: 290 04/27/2008 8:41 AM	Tags : None Remove this ad I have two quetions: 1.) How much weight did you gain in your pregnany with your twins? I ask b/c right now I am 23 weeks and I have gained about 20-25 pounds (I feel huge) and the babies are only measuring a pound a piece right now. 2.) How much did your babies weigh when they were born and at what week were they delivered at? Thanks, Amy

BTDT Posts: 148 04/30/2008 3:05 PM	Hi Amy, I gained a total of 53lbs!!! My belly measured at 49 weeks right before I delivered. I had them at 35 weeks 6 days and Evan weighed 5lb3oz and Elyse 4lb14oz. My last couple of weeks their placentas fused together so my dr said that could have made Elyse a little smaller. However now at 6 weeks old Evan is over a pound bigger than her! Good luck, if you have any questions feel free to pm me as I am pretty "fresh" into the world of twins!

Oldtimer Posts: 8068 04/30/2008 7:31 PM Mommy to Cole, Rylan & Cooper!	Remove this ad I gained 32lbs. I had the babies at 34 weeks. Rylan was 4.11oz and Cooper was 5.5oz. They say a lb a week is right on track with twins (or more!). I think you're doing great!!

Mod I can help you! Oldtimer Posts: 9967 05/01/2008 12:10 AM Mommy to Z!	I gained a total of 60 lbs (triplets) Our girls were born at 35w1d and weighed in at 5lbs 3oz, 4lbs 12oz, and 5lbs 0oz. Including partial ounces I carried over 15 lbs of baby. I was told to gain 50lbs by 26 weeks becuse the grtowth curve ofr trips slows down even quicker than twins but I believe (not sure though that the recommmedn weight gain for twins is up to around 50 lbs? It is alll for a very good cause.

Oldtimer Posts: 18508 06/19/2008 12:54 AM	As a 'bigger' girl to begin with, I was told to gain 30-40lbs...but I only gained probably 25 and that was AFTER I lost a bunch of weight in my first trimester so I am a bad 'case' to go by on that.... Our girls were born at 35 weeks 3 days and were 5lbs and 4 lbs 15 3/4 ozs. Hope that helps! "Making the decision to have a child - it's momentous.
