OK, I didn't get a lot of responses for Cassidy Jaye (thanks, Tracy, Kristin, and Toni for yours!).

Here are a couple other names I'm kicking around:

Carly
Adrian

Maybe Carly Jean (Jean is MIL's middle name and Jeanette is my mom's middle name) or
Adrian Jaye (we call DH Jay most of the time)?

I've discovered that besides DH and I hoping to find an Irish or Gaelic-type name, we both also like names for girls that could also be or have been in the past, names for boys. Any other suggestions? I have four more months to figure this out!

Not too big on Adrian (maybe it's the spelling?!)... reminds me of a boy... I know an Adrienne (girl)

I love Carly too! So do both my older kids and MIL. DH is the only one who doesn't really like it, and only because of the singer Carly Simon. I told him it's becoming more common and people wouldn't just think of her anymore! Maybe we can all talk him into it...

My mom suggested Adrianna and Ariana. Those are pretty but I'm not big on lonnnng names. My other kids all have two-syllable first names so it seems like it wouldn't even flow well if the last one had one twice as long!

I told DH again how everyone loves Carly but he just doesn't want it. That's okay, though. I don't expect him to call his daughter a name he doesn't like any more than I would want to call her one I don't like. We both still really like Cassidy.

Man, it was so much easier naming my other kids! LOL!

Would you be interested in spelling Carly w/ a K? The reason I ask is then w/your kids' names you'd have 2 L's and 2 K's.

My MIL is named Joan Jean (after two movie stars, Joan Crawford and Jean Harlow) so we have also thought about the Jean as a middle name thing

I like Carly Jean and Cassidy Jayne like Glenna just suggested too.

Thanks for you input, everyone! I'm really thinking we're going to stick with Cassidy Jaye. For those that suggested Jayne, the reason we like Jaye is because my husband is named Jeremy but we call him Jay most of the time and we thought an "e" on the end of Jay could be a cute female version of that.

MIL says she likes it and she must be being honest because she has stopped calling with a new name suggestion every night, even though we told it wasn't set in stone--LOL!

DH and DD #1 like Kassidy with a "K" but I don't know, then it seems to get away from the Irish origin we were going for. Not dorky at all though, Lisa! I thought of that too!
