Considering I was at 1/2 cm dilated - they did a foley inducement overnight - in the morning I was 3-4 cm dilated - and they started the pitocin - which I was so scared would result in drugs/epidural - one nurse I had told me I wasn't going to be able to get out of bed due to my bp and I was a perfect candidate for an epidural - which pissed me off - but DH and my midwife were like - don't worry about her...so the pitocin got my contractions going right away - around 8am - then around 9am - they broke my water - and the contractions REALLY started - at one point they were so strong I ended up pulling the shunt out which was administering the pit (thank goodness) - and they decided I didn't need the pit anymore - and from there - I delivered with no drugs or epi (not for the lack of asking) - but Todd and the one nurse I had were fantastic - and they totally labored with me and encouraged me and I did it - no drugs....but then my bp was so bad that after delivery i was on a catheter and magnesium - they were doing labs on me every 3 hours - but - Gavin was nursing beautifully - and my milk came in within 3 days...
We took him to the ped 3 days after we left the hospital - and he is already 8 lbs...very happy - Brayden is loving being a big brother - so far so good on that front.
for the delay
