I agree with Lara - this might actually make Obama more electable. She is a beauty queen, turned mayor of a fairly small town in Alaska, then elected gov during a time of scandal, so that may have helped her get where she is today. She has very little experience and they were saying something about her being involved in her own little scandal. I'm sure we'll hear more about that in days to come. I think a lot of people were shocked by the pick, but then again when you look at Mc Cain's wife and then his VP choice its not surprising at all. Can anyone say "trophy"?

She is for drilling in Alaska - as long as its done in an environmentally friendly way. She is very conservative, so she will help him with the ultra conservatives, but honestly I think those people would have voted for him over Obama anyway.

As someone who would have voted for Hillary, this choice would not make me more likely to vote for Mc Cain. Hopefully there are not too many women out there that would change their vote from someone like Hillary to Mc Cain just because he choose a VP with a vagina. That goes for Obama supporters too - I would hope that people will look more at the issues and not race or sex when casting their vote.

Either way, it is pretty cool that we are making history this election year.

Also, I love hearing what people outside of the US think, so canadian ladies and others please keep the comments coming. You get such a different perspective of our country then what we see.
