I saw the preview for Madagascar 2 and thought maybe it would be a fun thing to do for the kids. We've hardly every watched movies with the kids but lately Gab has been into the Cars movie....that's the only one we have. If it doesn't work out then we can just leave but I'm always trying to find new things to do with them, I'm bored with the usual.

Oldtimer Posts: 651 10/15/2008 8:49 PM	We have taken Owen. Our theater offers a free movie every Wednesday during the summer. We figured that would be a good way to try it out, that way if it didn't work out we weren't out any $$$. We only went twice, most of the movies were aimed at school age children. The first time it was just Owen and I. He did great, we stayed the whole movie. The second time it was just DH and Owen, they only stayed for about 1/2 the movie. Another thing you might check out, our theater also does special movies on Saturdays for kids. It is a discounted price and they are usually a shorter film. Good Luck!

Since she was a baby.. she has learned to behave.. we still have some 'ocassional' outburst.. we took her to a midnight showing of the DaVinci Code so that she would fall asleep quick.. it wasn't quick enough and when there was a naked man on the screen she was sure to point it out and say: look he is naked.. Aura .. she is a little louder.. we have taken her to the movies and such.. but we always have to be prepared to get up and walk around with her.. Today we took them both to a high school theater show.. disney songs.. Azucenita really enjoyed it.. Aura was amuzed for the first half.. the second half.. she was a little fuzzy but DH and I took turns taking her to the end of the hall etc.. It wasn't bad at all.. They were to only 2 in the theater. He said she did really well and loved it. I have been thinking of taking the girls to The Dove Family Film Festival to see Horton Hears a Who. Harmony Pround Aunt and Nanny to Triple D!

I took Teagan to see Horton Hears A Who and he enjoyed the first 30 minutes...then there were several really quiet parts during the movie and he just wasnt entertained anymore. so we played video games in the lobby and I took him bowling (it's right next door to the theater) instead. now bowling, he LOOOOOOOVES to go bowling and play pool!
