When do you keep your child home from school? If they are stuffy and coughing, would you send them? She's acting normal, no fever but when she's tired
she'll tell me she doesn't feel good. I feel bad for the other kids to have my kid running around and coughing and sounding contagious. But, she got
this from someone there obviously so maybe I shouldn't feel so bad.

The most common problem we have with Jack is his ears & ear infections, so if he says to me in the morning, "My eaw huwts." Then I keep him out
& to the doctor we go. That's less & less frequent, but I know what it means when he says that.
Other than that, if he has been throwing up, if he has a fever, some unidentifiable rash or symptoms of what they have posted as going around at the daycare center, then I will keep him home too. |

It seems both my babies have had constant runny noses since the start of the school year! If I kept them home whenever they had the sniffles and/or a cough,
they would never be at school. LOL! I am hoping once their little bodies get used to all the germs they will be healthy again. With that being said, I keep
them home if they have a fever, diarrhea or are vomiting. Of course, if the cough is terrible and is making it difficult for them to function, I would keep
them home for that as well.

Fever for sure, I would say as long as she's active and not run down then send her. If she is getting tired quickly she may need a down day, we all do from
time to time, JMO.

I will keep Shayden home if she has a fever, vomits, diarahia, colored snot, complains of pain or has an unidentified rash.
I recently kept her home because she had Hand, foot and mouth disease. |
