A friend of mine and her husband have had a pretty crappy marriage for YEARS... basically they have a partnership...he works and she does everything else. He
doesn't help with their 2 kids (EVER) and even got upset when she asked him to go to the kids' school confrences a few weeks ago.
Well last night she and I were talking and from what I got from her is that she doesn't want to ask him to leave because "he has no place to go"... he is actaully from Canada, and she is basically afraid that because their children have dual status (as does he) if she asks him to leave he will take the kids and just disappear, and he has even threatend this when the discussion came up before re:their marriage.
Well how much should this poor girl take... I mean seriously... she was saying that she gets no money for herself, she has to show him reciepts when she does shop for herself etc... it is just sick!! isn't this some kind of 'abuse' with his threats etc
what would YOU do to help this friend... I mean obviously I am trying to be THERE for her as much as possible, but the independant woman in me can't help but just want to shake her and scream "LEAVE ALREADY"....
