The last year in a half my daughter will slack with her grades and then pull them up and still make the honor roll. It pisses me off to no end. She did the same thing last quarter and ended up on the A & B honor but my thing is why arent you giving it 100%.. why slack? So today I was reviewing her grades online and shes starting up again.. So I took her phone/radio for a week. I told her that she's supposed to give 100% in what she does and not get a bad grade because she feels that she can make it up later on...

 She is doing horrible in school and doesn't seem to care. At this point, I am just hoping she gets to graduate

I dont blame you momma, you have got to show them that you will not compromise when it comes to grades. Austin told me she might make a C this year (she has
been on the A honor roll for a long time) in one of her AG classes. I told her if she brings home a C that I will take her phone for the entire 9 weeks until
the next report card comes out.........
she flipped!!! But she got all A's (but the one she was worried about and brought that C up to a B before report card time).........she knows not to mess with me about grades 
 to you for sticking to your guns and not giving up!!!

Lareisha is very bright and getting straight A's is so easy for her once she puts forth the effort but she has in her mind that she can screw up a few
papers and tests as long as she pulls some more A's her grades will balance out and she will end up with an A or B... I dont like that she does...She got
an "F" on a quiz but her grade is still a strong "B" in the class, I told her thats not good enough!!! Shes not going to screw up and then
hurry up and make up for it. So her phone is gone until further notice...
Lisa, im sorry about Kylie. Have you tried taking things away from her? what grade is she in? I would take phone, computer, no outside, no nothing.. no new clothes. ((HUGS) |

it sounds like your daughter is just really smart and knows that anytime she wants to kick it into high gear she can start acing her tests.........but I agree
with you, she needs to give forth 100% all the time no matter what!

exactly! when they get older and get closer to graduation they might not have the luxury of being able to play "catch up"...........the teachers
start giving more and more work and if you dont keep up then you cant catch up..........
But she is probably just bored and will kick it up when she gets to the harder classes that give more work and keep her attention more.......
