Sorry for the delay - here it is:
Delivery was definitely unexpected for Monday, March 9th!! My c-section was already scheduled for Monday, March 16th, but I guess Robbie had other
plans!! J
I wasn't feeling too good
Monday morning when I woke up. I even had posted a topic about changes and I was definitely going through some!! Something told me to finish my hospital bag,
so I did that. Then around 9:45am I started having what I thought were strong Braxton Hicks - again something told me to start writing down the times - which
I did. I actually had several Braxton Hicks that whole weekend, but nothing like what was happening on Monday morning. I ran to Target to buy little items
off of my registry with gift cards that we had received. I got back in the car and as I'm driving back home I had several more contractions that just got
stronger and stronger and closer and closer. Needless to say, I got home in a hurry!! I put Emma Kate in her playroom and turned on one of her favorite
movies and I went into the living room so she wouldn't have to see me drop to my knees those last few times with contractions. That didn't happen
though - Emma Kate saw one of them and asked me if Robbie was hurting me and that he was going to time out!!
She then told me to go see my doctor and that
she would fix me!!
Which was GREAT advice!!
Contractions were REALLY strong now, so I called Robb (my DH) and my doctor. My doctor told me to head
on to Labor & Delivery right then. I ran Emma Kate to my neighbor's house and waited for Robb (my DH) to get here - which normally would take about 40
minutes - took about 20!!. I got to the hospital at 3:50pm - they checked me and I was 3 cm. I was then prepped for my c-section AND . . . Robbie was
delivered at 5:03pm!! WHEW!!
Recovery has been GREAT!!
Hope everyone is doing GREAT!!
Michele
