Truett has never been a picky eater. He would eat whatever, whenever... now he barely eats lunch or supper & has become kinda picky (not eating things I KNOW he likes). He's gotten "ugly" as I tell him... if you ask/tell him something & he doesn't like it, he says "NO!" He's tried to hit us in the last few days, his new thing is saying "Yea" to us when we ask him something (which we correct w/ a "Yes ma'am/sir"... I just don't know where my sweet baby went. He started Mother's Day Out in late August. We've definitely noticed a difference in him since then. IDK if there's any correlation, but I wouldn't doubt it at all. Anyone else? Lydia is getting to be the same way, talking back, hitting her brother and sister and just being a bit of a pill. It's funny that you also call it acting "ugly" - I wonder if that is a southern thing! I guess we'll have to keep fighting the good fight and hopefully they will turn out okay... hopefully sooner than later! I noticed with my oldest that he goes through phases. He'll be great for a few months (overall) and then we'll have a few months that he is so naughty that we are pulling our hair out. Maybe it has something to do with growth spurts? We've told her you don't tell us No when we ask you to do something....so now she'll say NO, smile and check our reaction. so we always correct her on that. that's mainly the only 'bad' thing she's doing right now---she's testing the limits....and we are trying to clearly show her where those boundaries are! Not only am i getting no, but we hit the why phase early! plus the "i don't want to." Or she'll ask aa question and I'll say forinstance..."dogs don't fly... and she"ll say yes they do! My lil disagreeable child, I love her so. LOL You know whats's funny is I tell my daughter the same thing, "actin ugly" (my family is from Mississippi) and wouldn't you know it she nows says, "mommy, I am actin ugly huh?!" Kids these days.

I have a 14 and 7 year old. 3's are def worst than 2's When they say no, u have to keep on correcting them... Redirecting, getting down looking them in the eye and say, no you dont talk to mommy like that. It def works! Maybe not the first hundred times but they will get the pic

Up until a few months ago Luka was the most placid little boy, but he has turned into a terror. He wants his own way ALL the time, hits us if he doesn't get it and is just very stroppy! Thank goodness he isn't like this all the time, because it is wearing!!!
