So we have had 2 names that we have loved for the last 2 pregnancies in case the boys were girls. Now dh tells me he thinks they are too old school and wants
to change them. BTW I heart both of those names, but I do think we should both like a nmae for our child. SO here we are and we have agreed to like 3, but none
of them are jumping out like my old names. We have a Michelle, Michael, and Alexsay. I know Alanna fits the best with the names of our kids, but we shorten all
of our kids names and I really dont want a Lana. So here are our 3 names and let me know if it really matters to "match" this baby girl's name
with the rest of the family. ANd the middle name will be Hope since Michelle's is Grace and the full pronunciation of my name is nadsezhda (russian) which
translated into english, is Hope
Which name? (Result) |

I only think Hope sounds right with Alanna so that got my vote. I also really like that name and think it would be cute to call her Ali. Do you know for sure
this is a girl?? I was thinking you were on team green???

Claire
Our DD is Kaitlin (now 11) and if we had another girl I wanted to find other C or K names. So Claire was one of them along with Camille (not sure if that is the right spelling) and Caroline
Kaitlin 5/28/98 7lbs 2 oz * Preston 9/20/01 9lbs 12.5oz * Parker 7/29 9lbs 15oz

I like Alanna too. If you don't like Ali for a NN, you could do Lani/Laney/Lanie.

I don't think Ali is a stretch for a nickname - love it!

I agree -- it's the best sounding w/ Hope; and there are many nn's for it. I like Laney for a nn...very cute!
