So apparently this child is determined to be just as big a pain in the
butt as his/her siblings. I was getting ready to lay down for naps with
the kids around 1 (Abby's home sick) when I went to the bathroom and
had some major bleeding. It was pretty much out of nowhere, bright red
and enough to turn the water red.
So, I spent the last two hours trying to track down the nurse (since she, yet again, hadn't called me back an hour after leaving a message) and then going in for an impromptu visit. The nurse-practitioner saw me and was able to find a heartbeat with the doppler, so that helped a lot. She asked if I was scheduled for an U/S and I told her I was having the NT U/S but not until the 18th. So, she moved that up to next Wednesday.
I will have a lot more peace of mind once I can see the heartbeat on
the screen and hopefully see some movement going on (last u/s we saw a
hb but no movement) If nothing else, I'm relieved to have the NT U/S
moved up because they had me scheduled at 13w6d...talk about cutting it
close!
And all this is going on and all I can think is "all I wanted was a nap! That's what I get for coveting sleep!" (usually we have to interrupt Lucas's nap to pick Abby up from school)
