'He will most likely pass in the next week.' My heart is breaking. I know it would be the best thing if god would take him home. The sw said he will have 'no quality of life based on tests they have done.' They are going withdrawl support. The bmother has been at his side. In light of this new nfo any adoption plans have been withdrawn. How horrible. Initially we got the babies apgar 7 - 8 scores; they said the baby was gaining wt, getting 'stronger' and he had these '2 problems ' One could be corrected with surgery ... 1 may not even be an issue a blood test would confirm if the problem existed in the future.... but these problems are fixable 'Livable' quality of life will be unaffected. The sw had no clue how sick the baby truly was till he went to the hospital to see the infant... the problems were down played by the family. & confirmed by the nicu unfortunately there is no hope the damage is permanent. Even if the baby survives, a slim chance, his quality of life will not be good the best outcome is for god to take him home. _____________________________ Me 40 Dh 39 TTC Since 02 MC x4~12/03-7/04-2/07-2/09 ___________________________________ It's a Girl! Oldtimer Posts: 2681 11/29/2010 6:16 PM	The baby was not gaining wt, or feeding, unable to hold it's body temperature then it was noticed half of the baby's head was not developing.they did testing & it was found the baby had only 15% brain activity, was completely blind & deaf. Machines were keeping him alive.The mom admitted to using 'some drugs' They were talking about withdrawing all life support. It's so very sad. I still can't believe this has happened.
